Plan of Salvation

What is salvation?

A) What is sin? Sin is the transgression of the law of God. God’s word is His law. Therefore, all unrighteousness is sin. Scripture Reference: I John 3:4; I John 5:17

B) Why are we sinners? Because Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world. So sin and death passed to all men. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Scripture Reference: Romans 5:12,14; Romans 3:23; I John 1:8-10

C) The need for a savior. Because of sin entering the world, man lost fellowship with God. A savior was needed to reconcile man back to God; someone to pay the penalty for our sins; someone who was not born under sin. Scripture Reference: II Cor 5:18-19; Col. 1:14-22; Heb. 2:17; Heb. 9:22

Who can be saved?

God desires that all men to be saved. Thus, he made it possible for all men regardless of race, sex, or creed to be saved. Scripture Reference: Acts 2:21; Romans 5:18; Romans 10:8-13, II Peter 3:9

Who can save us from sin?

It is only through Jesus Christ, the Son of God that we can be saved. Scripture reference: John 3:16-17; Acts 4:12; Luke 19:10; 1 Tim. 1:15
