On December 3, 2000, TLCOT held its first worship service at the Pumphrey Center in Burtonsville with approximately thirty people in attendance and eight became members.
On May 20, 2001, we were blessed with this branch of Zion (8005 Martin Luther King Highway) otherwise known as Holy Ghost Headquarters in Glenarden, Maryland and held our first service.
In 2002 and 2003, we continued as faithful Stewarts working in His vineyard and tending to His sheep here at 8005 Martin Luther King Highway.
In November of 2004, God confirmed His plan by blessing us with the purchase of the entire building. WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!!!! In less than 5 years just look at God’s handy works.
In April of 2006, The Lord led us to Transform the old sanctuary as He built up the New TLCOT Sanctuary.
In October of 2006, the new sanctuary was dedicated as the next step in the vision for TLCOT that the Lord has ordained and manifested through His power. The transformation of this building is just an outer representation of the power and glory of our Lord and Savior. As the Lord transformed this building so has the life of the believers here at TLCOT been transformed. We are truly THE LORD’S CHURCH OF TRANSFORMATION.
“If any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things are become new“
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
We have been through our 7th through 11th year and now the Lord has brought us to our 12th Anniversary at this location. Praise God! We continue to progress through this beautiful journey with the Lord. As The Lord continues to transform our lives, we shall Be Confident in knowing that God is going to finish what He has started in TLCOT. Please continue to pray for us as we grow as the spiritual leaders and saints of our Most High God.
Our Mission is to win souls, heal hearts, and transform lives that the followers of Jesus Christ will become a strong dedicated growing witnessing church that God our Father in heaven may be glorified.
To God be all the glory, honor, and power forever AMEN!!
Look at what The Lord has done!
Who We Are
We are a Christ-centered church. We recognize Jesus Christ as the head of the Church and the Final Authority on all matters of preaching, policy, and practice. No one human leader has total authority; rather authority and responsibility are shared by those recognized by the congregation as being mature, wise and full of the Holy Ghost. We believe in servant leadership under the control of the Holy Spirit.
